The artist is the essence of his day-to-day context, and the strength of his culture

One can see in his works a certain correlation with the so-called ‘ideal landscapes’ of 17th-century Flemish painting: panoramic scenes with the horizon low in the picture, allowing the largest area to the sky, emphasizing the grandiosity of the atmosphere.

The universe offers us inexhaustible sources and inspiring themes, that go beyond our immediate, intrinsic questions. The way we communicate, our anxieties and the media that we choose, are personal, and thus, originality is fundamental.

By contrasting light with dark, I create images which can be dramatic, poetic, or provoke some type of indignation

Art amplifies, dilates, transposes, overflows, invents, researches and transgresses. Art is an instant or a process. It amplifies, overflows, and transposes the very concept, itself, of art.

I see art as a metaphorical poem and an intellectual act that establishes the correspondences between the existing realities. All the paradoxes can be reconciled. I seek to reconcile the extremes, but in such a way that they don’t lose their peculiarities

Is nature as a whole, itself, already an art? Or do we see art in parts of nature? How does each one of us, individually, interpret reality?

Art liberates, addresses, accuses, tell stories, and records moments that will be eternal. It makes us go to places we will never be, but which are within us.

Photography is a way of calling attention to facts and moments that go unnoticed in the rush of day-to-day life.

My dialogue with painting is a field open to insertions, not leaving out the multiple possibilities of leaving the plane, and it includes sculpture-objects – which are also part of this Universe

For me, art is a tool of expression, that serves to provoke reflections first in ourselves, and as a result of this, in others

Expression of the moment calls for a single, certain, visceral movement, with no rehearsal, like a radical move on the board

Our human rights are non-negotiable values, and it’s by them I’m guided

I work with the human condition, the fragility of being, life and death – questions about the transitory nature of time and of existence, often using irony.

I see this being as if ‘en passant’ in the context – something furtive and phantasmagorical within a surrealist universe

I like white. Because it opens up space for the imagination. I feel that empty space is not any impediment – on the contrary, it invites people to take a stance – to position themselves in that space and context.

The feminine is, to me, a universe of indecipherable actions and emotions. Mother, lover, friend, partner…a woman is far beyond the roles society wants her to play.
