Art is one of the many forms of knowledge; an act of conscience and perception of reality that will only be complete if it is able to generate in the viewer some form of reflection, of curiosity

Is nature as a whole, itself, already an art? Or do we see art in parts of nature? How does each one of us, individually, interpret reality?

Art amplifies, dilates, transposes, overflows, invents, researches and transgresses. Art is an instant or a process. It amplifies, overflows, and transposes the very concept, itself, of art.

I see art as a metaphorical poem and an intellectual act that establishes the correspondences between the existing realities. All the paradoxes can be reconciled. I seek to reconcile the extremes, but in such a way that they don’t lose their peculiarities

I like white. Because it opens up space for the imagination. I feel that empty space is not any impediment – on the contrary, it invites people to take a stance – to position themselves in that space and context.

One can see in his works a certain correlation with the so-called ‘ideal landscapes’ of 17th-century Flemish painting: panoramic scenes with the horizon low in the picture, allowing the largest area to the sky, emphasizing the grandiosity of the atmosphere.

Everything changes, we change, we influence all the time; what’s important is to be open and receptive to everything.

I have lived through everything that I put in my work: I have suffered in the droughts, helped my mother to carry water on her head. My father was a cowman: I have seen cattle die of hunger

By contrasting light with dark, I create images which can be dramatic, poetic, or provoke some type of indignation

The feminine is, to me, a universe of indecipherable actions and emotions. Mother, lover, friend, partner…a woman is far beyond the roles society wants her to play.
